Thiru Shankar Giri try to persuad me saying 'it is only a documentary film and we will conduct the shootings on Saturday, Sunday and other holidays without disturbing the study of Ammu. Moreover it will also offer your daughter a good pastime. The holiday shooting schedule and the language of the film - English, convinced me to agree to the proposal. Thus she acted in the English film Epicil.

That time, I was acting in the role of a mother-in-law in 'Nanna Karthavya' a Kanada movie. The producers were unsuccessful in getting a young heroine, to act in the role of a very young widow, in the film. While, continuing the search for the heroin, they were shooting the other scenes of the film. Once, the same producers saw Ammu, when they came to my house to get my call-sheet. Finding her suitable for the role, they sought my permission to sign her as a heroine, but I refused them.

Again they pleaded for my permission, when they failed to get a suitable heroin to act in the film even after six months. After a deep thought process, finally I agreed to the proposal, but, wanted them to wait till the start of summer holidays in the school. They readily agreed to my request.

After three months, when the summer holidays started, again the same producers approached me and wanted to have Ammu for the role. They even suggested that Ammu can just act in only one film and may stop acting afterwards. When I asked Ammu for her idea, she said' if you have faith in my capabilities, let me act in the film'. She started acting in the film on weekends.

I took Ammu for the 100th day celebrations of the Tamil film 'Karnan'. Thiru B.R.Panthulu, the producer and director of the film, saw Ammu and sought my permission to have Ammu in his next film. As usual first I refused to his suggestion, but later he convinced me stating that he will complete the shooting schedule within the summer holidays. Ammu signed the Kanada remake of the Tamil film ‘Muradan Muthu’ and acted with Kalyankumar the hero of the film.
