First, we contacted the boy’s party through telephone. Then, we checked up agreement of horoscopes through the groom’s uncle Murugesan. All the points were found to be compatible. Our son-in-law Thiruthanivel is a B. E., he is working as an engineer at Mascat. Murugesan told us that the boy would be in India on 27th January and that everything could be finalized immediately. Our PT master’s brother is in Mascat and we were able to know everything about the boy through him. The boy came to our house with his mother, brother, sister and grandmother on 2nd March. Their native place is Vairichettipalayam, near Thuraiyur. The betrothal was held on 1st April at Ravi Mini Hall near Arivalayam near Chattiram bus stand. The wedding was celebrated very grandly at the Annai Kamakshi Amman temple on 16th May. When we were all very much against ‘varans’ working abroad, it was Kalyanamalai which convinced us and made us agree for a son-in-law working outside India.
