The wedding of Udaykumar – Durgadevi was celebrated on a grand scale on 21st June 2010 at Arcot Vellalar Palace Marriage Hall in Salem. The bride’s mother Tamizharasi spoke to us in a joyous tone: “I’ve two children and Durgadevi is the first. She has done M. Sc, and is working as a software engineer. The second is a son, Hariharan. He is doing MBA. I am working in post office; my husband is a driver in KPN Travels.

We are living at the Yercaud Post in the Hill Station area. I had been looking for alliances since two years for my daughter. I sought the help of my relatives also. When I happened to watch the Kalyanamalai program at one of my relative’s house I felt reassured listening to Mr. Mohan in the program. The boy’s father Mariappan is the vice president of a Panchayat board. His mother Amaravathi is a housewife. They are living in Subbiahpuram in Salem. The boy’s family is related to my sister-in-law, but we learned this information after the marriage only. We thank Kalyanamalai for getting an alliance from within our circle itself. My son’s marriage will also be initiated by Kalyanamalai only. I’ll tell my relatives and friends about the yeoman service of Kalyanamalai,” Tamizharasi said in an exuberant tone.
