All of us, mainly, women will want to look good and we take great interest in maintaining our looks. During summer, the skin gets tanned. The hair also loses its sheen and becomes dry. Let us see how to protect our skin from the summer heat and what types of make-up will suit the occasion.

Multani mitty, mixed with milk and a few drops of olive oil makes a very good mask. Apply this mixture on the face, neck, hands and legs. Leave on for some time and then wash off. This prevents tanning and drying of the skin. Prepare a paste of mint leaves and cucumber, add a few drops of honey to it. Apply this on the spots exposed to the sun. The dead cells on the skin are removed and the skin becomes glowing. We can use home made masks during summer and use light make-up to suit the weather.

Cleansing, toning and moisturizing are very important for the skin during summer. Also, good sunscreen creams should be used to prevent the rays of the sun that fall directly on our skin from affecting it. While buying sun screen packs, we should check up whether SPF stamp is there on the pack. The negative effect of the radiation from the ultraviolet rays of the sun on our skin can be prevented by applying these creams. During summer, special care should be taken while applying make-up if we are to attend parties. Before applying make-up, oil-free moisturizer should be applied as foundation. This will prevent sweating. Then apply face powder on the face and neck. The powder can be spread uniformly by touching up with blotting paper. Eye make-up can be decided to suit the color of the dress. Eye-salve should not be applied liberally as it would get smudged soon and spoil the make-up. Rose powder can also be used for make-up. Pastel shades will look very attractive on cheek bones. But shimmer should be avoided. Lipstick should also be of light color, dark and bright shades should be avoided.

Concealer can be applied on those spots that are comparatively darker and those spots where lines have formed. The defects will be concealed. Also, it renders a fresh look. Eyebrow color pencils make our eyes look attractive when different shades are used. Also, they can be used to draw our eyebrows to make them look thicker and lengthier. Mascara, when applied on the lashes make the eyes appear bigger. Light color lipstick will give a natural look.

If you want to look more natural, then apply moisturizing cream on the face, neck and hands. Blush your cheeks lightly with light shades. Apply mascara lightly. You’ll look beautiful naturally! The make-up will not be visible!
